Lingo Terms of Service

01Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Lingo (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

02Description of Service

Lingo is a writing assistant that uses artificial intelligence to improve, rewrite, and translate text. The App offers both free and premium subscription tiers.

03Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

04User Accounts and Subscriptions

Free Tier

• >Up to 5 text improvements
• >500-character limit per request

Wordly Pro (Paid Subscription)

• >Unlimited text improvements
• >2,500-character limit per request
• >Priority support

Subscription Terms

• >Weekly Plan — Billed weekly after a 3-day free trial.
• >Yearly Plan — Billed annually after a 3-day free trial.
• >Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• >Your subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• >You can manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings or within the App under Settings > Manage Subscription.
• >No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of any subscription period, except as required by applicable law.

05Free Trial

• >New subscribers may be eligible for a 3-day free trial.
• >If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription.
• >Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to one trial per Apple ID.

06Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• >Generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable.
• >Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• >Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.
• >Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
• >Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or servers.
• >Use automated systems or bots to access the App.

07Intellectual Property

Our Rights

The App, including its design, code, AI models, and branding, is owned by Lingo and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand elements.

Your Content

You retain ownership of any text you submit to the App. By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your text solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content.

08AI-Generated Output

• >The App uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions and translations. Output may not always be accurate, complete, or appropriate for your intended use.
• >You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and using any AI-generated content.
• >We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, quality, or fitness of AI output for any particular purpose.

09Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• >The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
• >The results obtained from the App will be accurate or reliable.
• >Any defects will be corrected.

10Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lingo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising out of your use of the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lingo, its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

12Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

13Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms in the App or on our website. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
